🔍 An ultra-complete onboarding: a key point of focus at OVRSEA

<aside> 🌊 OVRSEA is a French start-up founded in 2017, which has now grown to become a pioneer of digitalized freight forwarding.

To successfully simplify and optimize our clients’ international transport orchestration (Nuxe, Devialet, Overnia, Cowboy...), we have focused, early on, on developing our in-house technology and designing an ultra-complete onboarding for new employees.

Our goal is simple: ensure talents from all backgrounds understand the challenges of international transport, through our tailored internal training program!

Ignition Program recently shared striking figures: 60% ****of young executives believe that companies do not manage their integration well, 17% of recent hires leave within the first three months, and 33% are looking for a new job by the end of their first semester.

At OVRSEA, we are strongly committed to welcoming and training newcomers as well as current employees, and the tailor-made onboarding we have designed has already paid off: out of the 100 employees that have joined a permanent position (CDI) over the last four years, 97% are still working at OVRSEA.

<aside> 💡 The onboarding journey at OVRSEA ensures that all newcomers familiarize themselves with both the missions they’ll handle and the different teams they’ll directly work with.

Taking it one step further, we strongly believe that enabling newcomers to meet with all teams, and understand both our global long-term strategy and our specific take on our industry is essential.

<aside> 🐾 The first step of our onboarding process is to make sure all new hires feel eagerly expected. Communicating internally about new recruitment waves is essential as it enables all teams to be more involved in both training and integration of newcomers.

To this end, a few days prior to the start date, a new hire is contacted by both our office manager and a dedicated OVRSEA employee to set up his/her arrival.

Then, we welcome all newcomers ****around a team breakfast and ensure they are part of an onboarding cohort over their first three weeks.

Thanks to a personalized Notion page itemizing both the different ressources to browse independently and the workshops to follow on a daily or weekly basis, each newcomer will have a clear view of the first steps to take upon arrival :
